Ansaldo SVA

1/50 Ansaldo SVA Artiplast kit manufactured in Chirignago, part of metropolitan Venice, in 1975. On August 9, 1918, 11 SVAs from the Serenissima squadron participated in the Volo su Vienna/ the Flight over Vienna; more about that at the link. Handpainted with craftstore acrylics, primed with local spraycans.

P-51 D

Monogram's 1/48 'Detroit Miss' Mustang from 1977. Yellow, red, black, brown, and two silver tones all from local (Ecuador) hardware-store spraycans. I left off the invasion stripes and added the red tail. I didn't like the look of the olive-drab anti-glare panel, repainted that black. Left off all the stencils except for the one with the little Red Cross emblem. Used thin strips of black and red electrical tape in lieu of painting the canopy bits. Ancient decals mercifully went on without any drama. Bit of history here:

Panzerkampfwagen IV-H

Probably around Korsun, Ukraine in February 1944. The 1/35 Italeri kit and most of the figures date back to the 1970s. Completed in January 2021.
