plus de Tempus Fugit

Time does fly. Check out these photos of two of my kids.

This is Christian and Francesca, aged 4 and 2 or so. Taken at my parents' house, Janet & I call this picture "Barflies" because it reminds us of an old married couple having yet another round at the pub. We have laughed about this pic for more than 15 years.

The next picture I stole from my daughter's Facebook today. It's France and Christian down at the College of Charleston celebrating her 18th birthday. Or studying. Or something.

In some ways time flies; in other ways, things don't change all that much, do they?

Hard to believe, isn't it? The biological anomaly is that as our children age, I do not think I am aging one bit. In fact, I still eat and act as if I were 17! Of course, my body reminds me otherwise every now and then...

Yeah...they were babies last week!

I reflect that the reason we have odd perceptions of time has to do with a vestigial pre-Fall way of understanding time, vs. the way time has been experienced since the Fall.

our kids are 24 and 20 and I can't believe it. I still remember taking them to the bus on the first day of school like it was yesterday. Makes me sad , but life moves on to a new phase. The empty nest as they say, but all folks with kids have gone through it and did well. God is merciful
take care
